ARIPEKA
Traditionally a fishing village dating back to the 1800’s, Aripeka still evokes an era of days gone by. A drive south on Shoal Line Boulevard leads you past an expansive view of sawgrass and over a small bridge, from where you can view a great Florida sunset, perhaps followed by some bridge fishing.

BAYPORT
On the mouth of the Weeki Wachee River sits Bayport, one of the original settlements in the area. At the tip of the community is the popular waterside pier, favored by locals and visitors for fishing, boating, and sunset watching.

BROOKSVILLE
Chosen as the county seat in 1856, Brooksville is one of the two incorporated cities in Hernando County. As the southern belle of Hernando County, Brooksville is rich in history and charm with its Victorian homes, cobbled streets, antique shops, and classic courthouse.

HERNANDO BEACH
This development, began in 1959, has a network of manmade canals that connect to the Gulf of Mexico. This is the largest coastal community in Hernando County, housing several large marinas and commercial fishing fleets.

ISTACHATTA/NOBLETON
This charming community sits in the deep-forested area of the Withlacoochee State Forest. You can always find folks enjoying a swim or a boat ride down the dark tannic waters of the Withlacoochee River flowing by the scenic landscape.

LAKE LINDSEY
This rural community located north of Brooksville around a serene lake boasts beautiful wooded country living in a peaceful and friendly setting.

MASARYKTOWN
Founded in 1925 by Slovakian immigrants, this rural community south of Brooksville was once known as the egg capital of the world. Some farms still operate and the area is primarily known for its Czechoslovakian heritage.

PINE ISLAND
This beach enclave offers the sun lover the opportunity to enjoy the gulf breezes everyday. At the northernmost of the island sits the County beach, a place for residents and visitors to enjoy another breathtaking sunset and a day at the shoreline.

RIDGE MANOR & RIDGE MANOR WEST
Along the edge of the Withlacoochee State Forest lie these two growing communities. Close to I-75 on the eastern side of Hernando County, Ridge Manor and Ridge Manor West, offer a convenient yet suburban setting for families commuting to larger urban areas.

SPRING HILL
Created by the Deltona Corporation in the 1960’s, Spring Hill’s population growth has been a major contributor to Hernando County’s progress, primarily in the last ten years. This booming community offers a variety of attractive lifestyles and conveniences for the newcomer.

WEEKI WACHEE
One of the smallest cities in the State of Florida and the second incorporated city in Hernando County, Weeki Wachee is home to the famous Mermaids and houses a unique water park at the Weeki Wachee Springs origin.
